As a vegan it is important to understand that this is not a diet. It is a lifestyle.
The foods you once ate will not be the same as a vegan because you will not be able to replicate the taste of cheese or meat that you are used to. So first important step is to forget that.
Plant-based eating is a whole new way to eat. Let food be thy medicine.
As a new vegan there are great imitation "meats" and "cheeses" that are actually quite delicious!
Many vegans eat mostly whole foods like raw fruits and vegetables (which I reccomend along with other foods I will explain later) and not processed foods. But definitely check these great products I reccommend:

There are other "meats" out there but the above brands are my favorite. They are Non-GMO, and have limited ingredients. There are more products that I reccomend; however, these above products are the best tasting, with proper ingredients and are a good imitation of what non-vegan's are used to.
